Meredith Lehman (she/her)

As Head of Museum Education, Meredith Lehman develops programs that support lifelong learning through the arts across campus and in St. Louis. She engages identity-conscious teaching practices through educator workshops and arts-based curricula and shares a special interest in language use in the museum and literacy. Scholarship on her work has been published in the Journal of Museum Education and the co-edited volume Literacy Across the Community (Routledge, 2021). In 2022 Lehman was awarded a grant from the Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity & Equity to develop arts curricula on health-related stigma, and currently she directs medical humanities programming that integrates visual art in medical education to train healthcare professionals in diagnostic skills, empathic communication, and health equity. Lehman has taught in higher education on topics related to Francophone literature, visual culture, and nineteenth-century photography. She completed her PhD in French Studies at the University of Texas at Austin.
