Join the Kemper Art Museum for a reception celebrating the opening of the spring exhibitions. Rosalyn Drexler: Who Does She Think She Is?, on view in Barney A. Ebsworth Gallery, is the first full-career retrospective of the groundbreaking work of Pop artist Rosalyn Drexler. On view in Garen Gallery, Spectacle and Leisure in Paris: Degas to Mucha brings together a broad selection of prints, posters, photographs, and film in an overview of the thriving entertainment cultures of Paris in the last decades of the 19th century. In the Teaching Gallery, (Re)Presenting Heroes, Defining Virtue presents conceptions of the hero in the visual arts across the centuries—from early Greek coins and pottery to 19th-century prints and contemporary comic books.
